Welcome to SfW!

We're happy to see you here.

Schreyer for Women (SfW) is a new organization created in 2017 within the Schreyer Honors College that focuses on empowering our female, trans, and non-binary scholars and surrounding communities. The foundation of this organization is built upon four pillars; Community Engagment, Career Development, Service, and Special Projects. These pillars dictate the course of the club and result in the initiatives we choose to be involved in. SfW provides a space for scholars to network, collaborate, socialize, and contribute to the community while at Penn State and beyond graduation.

Who We Are

We are a group of passionate female, trans, and non-binary scholars across all years and majors, dedicated to empowering ourselves and others in our local and global communities. We meet each week on Wednesdays at 8 pm in C-9 Atherton Hall, and we also hold additional events for workshops, discussions, speakers, and to cultivate a general community of support and friendship. As an organization, we are constantly in pursuit of ways to support and navigate the experiences that accompany the experience of being gender minorities in our personal and professional worlds. It is here at SfW that you can find support from inspiring, driven peers who accept you as you are. Join us!
